It continues to be an unusually mild and dry winter season at Powdermill, with very light bird feeder activity, no "winter finches," very few winter sparrows (including juncos), and, in general, very little turnover of our winter bird population. Bottom line--very few new captures! One new bird, however, was the Red-bellied Woodpecker male shown above, made to appear narcissistic with some Valentine's Day inspired photoediting!
